Nathan Hanson is a photographer from the Pacific Northwest, now based in Los Angeles.
He has been studying photography since his teens but discovered his passion for visual storytelling in 2020 during a cross-country journey.
His work has documented pivotal moments and places, including an empty Times Square at the onset of the pandemic, the unrest in Minneapolis during the Black Lives Matter protests, and the wildfire devastation in Oregon, where he joined a fire crew to help contain the flames.
He has also explored the beauty of the American West, photographing landmarks like Arches National Park, White Sands, the Grand Canyon, and Joshua Tree.
He focuses on capturing stories from American subcultures through striking and evocative imagery.
